At Clear Horizons, our mission is to build brighter futures for children with autism. Founded in 2005 as a 501(c)(3) public charity, Clear Horizons is committed to helping each child acquire the skills they need succeed in life. We do this by focusing on three different areas. First and foremost, Clear Horizons operates a school, Clear Horizons Academy, where each child is the beneficiary of a tailored educational program that integrates speech, behavioral and occupational therapies designed to meet their individual learning and developmental needs. Clear Horizons also focuses on “training the trainers.” Through this initiative, teachers, therapists and other professionals who work with children with autism receive hands-on training under the careful supervision of our professional staff. Third, we understand that parents of children with autism are on the frontlines. Clear Horizons offers additional resources for parents to improve their own skills in working with a child diagnosed with this disorder. |
