POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

Though current position openings vary, Clear Horizons accepts applications for the following positions on an ongoing basis, reviewing submissions as vacancies arise:
• Teacher
• Paraeducator

Teacher
Clear Horizons Academy, a non-profit school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, is accepting applications for a full-time Teacher. We use a DIR/Floortime approach to educating and interacting with our students. Teachers work individually with each child and their team (including families, other therapists or specialists, teaching staff, administration, etc.) to establish individual goals, oversee implementation, and ensure appropriate and effective intervention. Must have good classroom management abilities and be able to work well with parents and other staff. Bachelors degree in education or related field required. Teaching license and/or experience teaching or using the DIR/Floortime method preferred. This position is salaried with benefits package available.

Paraeducator
Clear Horizons Academy, a non-profit school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, is accepting applications for a classroom Paraeducator. We use a DIR/Floortime approach to helping our students. Openings may include full-day and part-day positions. Paraeducators will assist teachers with classroom responsibilities, participate in team meetings and discussions, take data and work with students in reaching their specific goals. Extensive training provided. Experience working with children in a classroom or therapeutic setting desired. Experience working with children with Autism or using the DIR/Floortime method preferred.
