Thanks to the efforts of the Sahara Cares Foundation, this video is used to train police officers at training facilities and in regular pre-duty training sessions. Unfortunately, as the prevalence of autism continues to rise, police officers are increasingly responding to incidences involving children with autism. This video provides officers with valuable information about what autism is, discusses ways to recognize the disability, and gives constructive suggestions for dealing with people with autism. This video is a “must have” for every policed department. Hard copies of the video are made available for free by ordering through the Sahara Cares Foundation’s website.
